Jennifer Schroeder states that human trafficking is a big issue around the world and is also in the United States. Many americans are unaware about how serious this matter is due to the little media coverage. Schroeder explains that human trafficking is "any situation where one person "holds another person in compelled service"". Most trafficking cases deal with trafficking sex for sex industries. She in forms us that majority of the people who are the traffickers are women and young girls between the ages of 12 to 17 years old and being held as a sex slave. There are 12.3 million people around the world who are being trafficked.
